On December 19th, I went to pick the kids up from school.
I told them we had to do an errand.
The errand was about 20 minutes away.
As we drove we got closer to the airport.
The kids wondered why our errand was by the airport.
Weird, I know.
I told them to look for a red suitcase or a red man, or something that looked sort of Christmasy.
I pulled up to the curb where people were meeting their family members.
The kids were perplexed.
They were looking all around.
Out from nowhere came a really tall guy with a jolly smile.
BUBBA!!!!!
We found Bubba!
The kids were screaming!
We picked up Uncle Merrill from the airport!
Yeeha!
That was the best Christmas surprise on the planet!
We went straight to Ady's Basketball game and cheered her on, and also surprised the britches off of her when she saw Bubba.
Then we went home where Maryn was. After we came into the house Bubba went and knocked on the front door. We told Maryn it was for her.
Oh happy day!
It was for her!
Hopefully Bubba felt how special he is and how much he is missed around here because my kids were sure darn tootin' happy to see him!
We had the family over for dinner to celebrate Merrill's arrival from Seattle. We are still so jealous that he lives in Seattle.
He is our favorite toy, so he had the kids flippin' and flyin' and screamin' and singin'!
We knew Christmas partying could start because Bubba was home!!!
