For as long as I have had children in school I have tried to go on all of their field trips.
Mostly they are good and fun... some not so much.
In October Kaden's 2nd grade class beat all the field trips of all field trips.
We went to the Hindu Temple out in Spanish Fork.
It looks like a tiny replica of the Taj Mahal. Beautiful.
We sat on the trillion steps leading up to it and heard a shpeal from a very beautiful older woman with a lovely accent.
We got to go inside the building, take off our shoes, sit on the marble floor and listen to another shpeal about their religion and try interesting instruments.
Back outside we went to the pond where this beautiful older woman with a lovely accent told us to clap out hands. When we did all the orange little fish came to us and started jumping out of the water. How did they know that it was time to eat? We fed the little fish but I still couldn't figure out how they heard us clapping and knew to surface.
Do fish have ears? I was perplexed.
Do fish have ears? I was perplexed.
Then we got to hand feed the llamas.
And then put a leash on the llamas and take them around the gardens.
It was weird to be taking a llama on a walk. First time for all of us.
Here's my little group of cutest 2nd graders.
We down to the bottom of the hill and then had a wild llama race to the top of the hill where a winner was declared. Our llama didn't want to race.
I LOVED going with Kaden. He's my favorite boy!
He's the perfect age where he wanted to be cool with his llama but he also wanted to be with his Mama.
I thought it was funny that Kaden assumed I knew all the answers to his question about how to handle a llama. First time for me, but I'm good at faking it I guess, or maybe he just believes at his age that Mom's still know everything.
After the Hindu temple we went to the Pumpkin Farm in Lindon.
We did the hay ride and picked a pumpkin from a field, rode bikes, looked at animals... the whole bit. It was such a fun day I was actually exhausted afterwards!
LOVED BEING WITH KADEN!!
