I LOVE THE FALL!
It is scrumptious and beautiful and so refreshing as the weather changes.
The colors become rich and delicious.
Things sort of settle down after the summer and it's nice to change our focus to fallish sort of things.
We did so much to celebrate the Fall but here is a brief-- maybe not so brief summary.
One day while in Provo we grabbed some lunch and drove up to Squaw peak where we enjoyed a grand view.
It was so spontaneous that the kids wondered if I was doing the right thing.
Once at the top we all felt it was right.
Maryn's school sponsored the Scarecrow Festival. She worked both days dressed up like a baby. She got hot though and was only 1/2 of a baby. It was fun for her to see lots of friends from the neighborhood who went and we went to join in on he fun too. She was happy to have us.
Love being with this girl!
On a Saturday we went on a Fall walk up to Bridal Veil Falls. It was awesome to have all my kids to myself and to enjoy nature. They love posing for pictures.
What is better than General Conference weekend?
Absolutely nothing.
My kids amazed me with how they sat on the couch together and listened and took notes... for 2 hours.
They can't even do that at church for 70 minutes.
I had to take a picture of them being spiritual.
So proud!
Then in between sessions their energy came out as they dog piled each other on the trampoline.
On a chilly Saturday in October we left for an adventure not knowing what we would do.
We each took turns choosing an activity.
My turn first: drive to the top of Traverse Mountain, get out and hike around for 30 minutes.
Ady's turn: go to a church with her leading us in an exercise Boot Camp. 1st: jog around the church 4 times.
2nd: sit ups, push ups, jumping jacks. She's tough!
Kaden next: play on the playground at a school.
Emmy's idea isn't recorded but we went to a gas station where everyone had 2 minutes to pick a treat for $1. Whew, it was a fun afternoon!!
After church one fall day we couldn't stop ourselves from going up to the Fly Park in Draper at the point of the mountain. The day was clear and beautiful and there were so many handgliders. It was awesome to stand close and watch them land and take off.
We decided that someday we will do that!
We loved going to Corn Bellys at Thanksgiving Point with the Shumans! So much to do so little time at that place.
Getting in the Halloween Spirit Kaden and Spencer were created in dressing up like Indians. (American Indians, you know.)
Nothing like seeing a Fall Sunset on the way home from a busy day.
