Mini Reunion

Because of 2 moms bringing out their kids to EFY towards the end of July we decided to turn it into a mini BFF friend Lake Forest friend's reunion.
The Debenham's came a night early where we enjoyed dinner out and a night at the Scera Shell seeing The Sound of Music.
The next morning we went to the pool.
Saturday afternoon everyone arrived.  We had a house full... almost 20 people.
The Debenhams came from Nevada to join in on the fun and the Stringhams came over from South Jordan to not miss out on the party either.
The mom's took the beds, boys downstairs, girl's upstairs, everyone was happy!
I felt for the first time that my house was living up to the full measure of it's existence having so many people and so much laughter filling it up.
The mom's went to dinner on Saturday night while the kids took care of themselves with pizza and games.  As usual, the lady's dinner was a time of bonding, sharing, laughing, crying, and loving.  These are special friends.

Sunday we woke up early and went to the Tabernacle Choir Broadcast which did a shortened version of the Pioneer celebration concert it did the night before.
It did not disappoint.
We were able to take a tour of the Conference Center too for those who had never been.
I was surprised but even though we were all super duper tired all adults and children still wanted to go to church with us.  It was my happiest day at my ward... filling up 2 rows with MY friends.  For the first time we had a full deacon's quorum passing the sacrament thanks to MY friends.  I didn't sit alone in Sunday School because I sat next to MY friends.  I was happy to have my ward see that I am special because I have so many wonderful friends.  I feel that they don't know that side of me.

The kids wanted to do a talent show after Sunday dinner.
We were amazed at the skits and talent.
Emmy and Ryan really got into their characters.
Bethany and Rachel and Maryn sang.
Ady played her song she performed in church a few weeks later.
More great acting...
The Slichta children really proved that they could act here although their mother was a bit embarrassed.
(Ady and Maryn)
Emmy on the harp.
The Steadman's pulled out the Youtube to show the talent they performed in their city talent show.  (Von Trapp Family singers performing their goodnight song.)
Fe' taught us all how to make these adorably cute boxes.
It was a divine weekend... it flew by but was such a power punch of happy for us all.
It was just a small treat that got us more excited for our Real reunion coming just 3 weeks later.
