Let Freedom RING

The 4th of July is always a favorite.
This year we wanted to do EVERYTHING to celebrate and we pretty much did.
Even living in Provo growing up I had never been to the hot air balloon races early in the morning, so this year I was determined to do it with my kids.  We slept over at Grandma and Grandpa's house, woke up at 6:00 am., got an awesome parking place and walked to the Fox Field so we could walk amongst the balloons.  As we got closer I wondered how come we weren't seeing them and come to find out... Gosh, darn-it, blasted...
Because of the wind, it was a no go.
I was mad and SO disappointed, my kids thought I was crazy for dragging them down there that early in the morning for nothing... not to mention that we all now were SO tired and had 3 hours til the parade was to start.

We definitely got great seats because we were there so early.
Everyone came to join us.
My favorite people right here.

The baby cousins in the festive attire.
After an afternoon nap, a few water games and a family BBQ,  we went to the Stadium of Fire thanks to Jeff's generosity.  Our seats were 15th row on the field which was awesome and not awesome at the same time.
Can you tell that we got there in plenty of time?

The first group to perform... I don't know who they are but they won some contest which made them eligible to perform at the Stadium of Fire.
The parachuters
The dancers
And
Carly Rae Jepson

the kids were screaming with excitement.

then Kelly Clarkson came out and gave a great concert.

finishing up with awesome fireworks.
It was a super duper fun filled day but we were utterly, extremely and totally exhausted when it was over.

God Bless America!
