The day after the 4th we stuck around and I went CAR SHOPPING!!
'Course we wanted to just look and then ended up driving a brand new 2013, Honda Odyssey off the lot.
Sweet!
I went with my dad so as not to get suckered into anything that might sound good.
I knew I wanted an Odyssey because frankly, they are the best.
Our other van, the Sienna had lots of miles and starting to have issues that were mysteries to the mechanics. I did not want to start putting money into something that was already junk. I did not have a good friendship with that dumb car for our whole relationship so it was a good riddance that day when we traded it in.
This new family member is a beauty!
I went out to lunch with some awesome ladies from my Israel group. Good times. Good food and so many happy memories. Those 4 months in Israel nearly 24 years ago were seriously some of the best, happiest times of my life!
Kaden did a week long AYSO soccer camp. These coaches came from Great Britain to coach. They were cute, fun and had the best accents. Kaden loved it even though it was a trillion degrees outside and he always came home super tired. He learned some great skills and had lots of fun!
My little soccer dude!
Not sure why Maryn took this picture...
One day after I picked up Maryn from school I was going a teensie weensie fast and got pulled over by a cop and given a ticket. Maryn thought it was hilarious. I didn't.
That's all.
The kids made the coolest fort in our upstairs hallway. It was like a long tunnel covered in pillows and blankets. They completed it with fans, flashlights and books then slept in it over night. I usually am not a fan of forts because I hate the mess it makes but I have to say this one was mighty clever and roomy.
Kaden caught a pet who stayed on his arm for a very long time.
One Sunday afternoon when we were at Grandma and Grandpa's house Emmy decided to set up a fortune telling booth. Everyone paid her a visit and found out their fortunes. They were all good ones.
Love her turban.
Kaden and Spencer were not to be outdone by Emmy's station, so they set up a toy store and required the whole family to come shopping.
Love the creative minds of my children. Love my new car. (don't love my speeding ticket), Love my friends. Love happy times.
Amen.
