We had the whole gang over for a Valentine's Dinner of Spaghetti and other red food edibles.
We all love to celebrate LOVE.
My Valentine this year was my dear ol' dad.
He surprised me with a dozen red roses to adorn my kitchen with and remind me that
I am loved.
Every time I looked at them for the whole week I didn't have a doubt in my mind that I was loved and so blessed.
That meant a lot to me.
A LOT!
This was a holiday that I tried to focus my love out into the world.
My expectations were low but as I focused on giving love to my children, my visiting teachers and my family I felt filled up and loved myself.
I could see how some would be bitter with this holiday; how love has burned them; how the commercialism of sappy cards and chocolate make you want to barf...
but I tried to help those around me FEEL that I truly cared about them and LOVED them.
It was a genuine Christlike love that filled me up this Valentine's.
I am so thankful for people around me who love me no matter what.
I am grateful for the people in my life that I love SO SO much!
We are all a match made in heaven and it feels good to give and take that same love which is genuine and real.
It's what makes the world go round, and it's real happiness.
Happy Valentine's Day to one and all.
