First B-Ball season

Kaden played his first season on Basketball and LOVED it!
The only thing I'm mad about is out of all his games these are the only pictures I took of him!
He did a super duper job.  He was on the team with a fun friend in our neighborhood which made it extra fun!  He was good at dribbling and guarding and even made some awesome shots!
Love those red cheeks!  That tells you they've been playing hard!
Our Young Women's had a basketball team this Winter.  Ady was a little overwhelmed by this game at first.  She'd never played before and didn't really know how to play.  She didn't want to grab the ball away from anyone and when it came to rebounding she was such a shorty that rebounding was nearly impossible for her.

One game in the middle of the season was a turning point for her.
She made a basket!
She loved the feeling!
She realized that to do that you had to get the ball away from the other girls and actually dribble the ball down the court.  Each game she got more brave and quick.  She learned that being short in basketball can have a lot of advantages and she started to use it.  By the last game of the season she was an animal!  She decided she wanted to quit gymnastics forever and play basketball!  Ha!  We'll see, but here are the pictures of her at the last game of the season.  We had to play 3 on 3 because of the lack of girls that showed but Ady actually made 30 something points this game!
She was on fire!

Look at that tall girl towering over Ady!
Oh, don't be fooled.
Ady wasn't intimidated!
She stayed focused and made over 30 points inspite of shortness!
She says basketball is now her new favorite sport.
I say, "You GO Ady!"
