Spring Break at ZIONS

We went to Zion's National Park for Spring Break this year.
We stayed at the Marriott in St. George which was like a little oasis and a fun getaway by itself.
Swimming with palm trees on a warm night and that bright moon coming over the rock wall, relaxing in a pool chair
with a favorite book
Kids are happy
Mom is happy
No distractions
Doesn't get much better than that.
ZION's was just as perty as I remember it as a child.
Riding the Shuttle throughout the park made it easier to see the sights
and made us feel like we were at Disneyland.
Sort of.
Maryn tried to be a DIVA hiker woman, carrying my purse,
wearing sunglasses
being all cute.
She was, but don't tell her that.

There was some Dinosaur site that was found in St. George a few years ago when new construction was going up.  They found fossils of dinosaurs which were unique
in that no other place on Earth had this type of dinosaur.
Being totally curious we paid the million dollars to get into the museum which was built right over the sight.
So you see the prints of the feet of that dinosaur?
not the signs, but the prints where the signs are.
I think I was the only one who thought it was amazing!
To top it all the off the kids got to learn how to make origami swans...
That right there was worth the million dollar entrance fee.
The highlight of the week for me was taking Maryn early one morning to do baptisms for the dead at the St. George Temple.
It is such a beautiful temple.
Sparkly white against the bright blue sky and red rocky mountains.

So peaceful and wonderful to be there with Maryn.
We went back as a family to see the grounds and go through the Visitor's Center.
It was a special time with a cute Sister missionary who showed us a neat movie about families that made us cry.
Love feeling the Spirit with my family.
