My children are gloriously amazing

October brought about the music in all of us.
Maryn had her first concert being in Cadence --the all girls choir, and the A Capella choir.
She looked most lovely in her choir dresses.
And I loved seeing her perform music...
something I hadn't seen from her for a while.
As her mom I could tell she was enjoying it.

It's so darn fun to belong to a group... the friends, the togetherness, the fun, sharing music.  I was happy watching Maryn share the music within her that she was born with.
These kids had their dad in the audience who won the live auction on these pumpkins.
Kaden had his Halloween guitar recital.
Everyone dressed up like a cowboy since the theme of the music was cowboy western.

His awesome teacher Edette Crump.
We always love the "Show What You Know" assemblies at school.  Kaden is very animated with his poetry and actions.  He's a true performer.

Another day in October I secretly got invited to the assembly where Emmy was going to get an award.  She had no idea why I was there since her class wasn't performing.
Emmy was called up to the stage as the recipient of the Reading University Award winner for the month.
No big surprise for all who knows Emmy... she's a reader!

With the other 4th, 5th, and 6th graders who got the award too.
Ady had practiced super hard for many months to learn her first concerto.  Finally, on October 25th she had her competition, playing with her teacher, Dr. Hatch.  Although she was a nervous wreck she did AMAZING!!!
She got 2nd place and was chosen to perform the following week with Dr. Hatch in the winner's recital.
WE ARE SO PROUD OF ADY!!
Grandma and Grandpa brought out their instruments one Sunday to perform for the family what they performed in church with the ward choir.
It had been a long time since we had heard them both playing their instruments.
I played the piano and Ady and Marianne joined in singing the choir part.  It brought back many great musical memories for me to hear my parents playing.
Hopefully the grandchildren will always remember that happy feeling that Music brings when you do it as a family.
We Loved our musical month of October!
