In October the Slichta girls, the Debenham girls and the Stringham girls all got together to go to Time Out For Women/Girls in Salt Lake City.
We had looked forward to it for SO loooong!
We learned so much and felt the Spirit and cried and heard and felt and loved so much during these 2 days.
We stayed in a hotel and each age group had their own party.
Maryn and Rebecca snarfing garbage food and watching t.v.
Surprisingly they were the first to fall asleep.
Ady and Katie, not so much food on the pull-out couch.
Jenny, Jackie and I had our own little cozy room.
We stayed up until 2:00 am. talking and being inspired and crying and loving and feeling and sharing. It was just as wonderful as the actual Time Out for Women that we paid a ticket for. The part that wasn't so wonderful was waking up in the morning. My red eyes that stayed red the whole next day and worsened terribly over the next few days, told me that I'm getting too old to stay up late anymore. I won't do it again, but it was totally worth it. Love those special girls!
It was such a super duper surprise to see my long time bestie Wendy Wilhite Glade.
We met each other when we were 17 at the Hill Cumorah Pageant. Then without planning we went to Israel Study Abroad together and were roommates. We stayed special friends after our missions. And just kept in touch over the years.
Love her!
(can you tell that my eyes are too old to stay up late anymore?)
These are the nicest girls ever!
They had their own Girl's program in another room.
I loved watching them get excited about a good speaker or great musical number or taking notes in their cute journals.
I loved seeing them be touched by the Spirit.
Time Out for Women is such a great program for Women! I am a long time fan!
But, I have to say that it's way better to go with friends!
Most of all
I was grateful for these 2 cute, wonderful girls, Maryn and Adyson.
I love them SO much and was thrilled to share such a special weekend with them.
It did my heart good to see them catch the Spirit of feeling the Spirit!
Hopefully it's the first of many more Time Outs we can put ourselves in.
