With our Fall harvest also came a house full of fruit flies.
I hate fruit flies!
It makes me feel like I live in a barn or something.
But this year I had had enough!
On Pinterest I found an awesome way to catch those pesky little flies
and it really worked.
Recipe:
A couple teaspoons of vinegar
a little bit of honey
and water.
Put it in a cup
place a baggy over the top with an inch hole cut in the top
and a rubberband around the bag.
It caught us some flies!
Do you see all those dead flies in the bottom of the cup?
Disgusting!
There's the hole in the bag.
The flies sniff out the vinegar and crawl into the hole, but then they can't get out of their trap and they drown.
As if the fruit flies weren't enough there were just those regular darn flies that came in everytime the kids forgot to close the door.
As I was making French Toast one morning for breakfast I saw this...
...And just wanted to barf.
Gross!
Needless to say, we were done having French Toast that morning.
