New Year's Eve was a late one. Popping of the poppers.
spraying the silly string.
(it will be the last year for that stuff. That's a mess than should stay outside).

Games galore!
My 2 favorite people Ever!
Happy New Year squishy hugs for Maryn and Grandma!
The Shumans gave us tokens to Chuck E Cheese for Christmas. A great idea! Everyone joined us and we had a great time!
A little skeeball for the men.
Ady's whole goal was to get a trillion tickets. I think she did.
Our New Year's tradition is to have a party with the Christensens. They brought pizza and games and we hung out at our church. The kids are all so weird.
A little performing on the stage.
Annie and Emmy, both involved in the dramatics.
Jana and I hiding our double chins. We didn't have to do that when we were 12.
Well folks, that sums up our 2 weeks in Utah. The holidays involved a few episodes of family drama which I shan't get into right now but let's just say that there was some heartache involved. It also involved some drama from across the country all the way to New York. One of which was the passing of Jeff's Grandma Teofelia Slichta.
She was a great lady. She was a great cook. She loved her family, although she did have her favorites... I think we were some of them. :) She had lived a good life and was healthy as a horse up until the last week before she died. She fell then gradually stopped eating.

We felt that Jeff needed to go back and be at the funeral. He had left on Tuesday to go to California for work. He was supposed to be back Thursday night for us to go home on Friday but instead he flew out to New York on Friday morning for a New Year's Day funeral on Saturday. Then, Jeff flew to Utah on Sunday and we left for home on Monday. He was exhausted but his family sure appreciated him being there.
The drama didn't end there though... Saturday night his mom spent in the hospital for passing out. Jeff was there to help and support which was a good thing. After leaving and being readmitted to the Rochester hospital they found out the cause. Phew!
After we arrived home on Monday night we were emotionally exhausted more than physically. We have happy memories and not but we are excited to start the New Year off to be a happy year. We have the power to make it be the best year so far!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2010!!
The End
