Happy Birthday #5 to Kaden!

We went bowling with the family and with J.P. (his brother from another mother.) Waffles were requested for breakfast and spaghetti for dinner.

So happy with his presents. Sleeping bag, Toy Story book, Star Wars shirt, game, walki- talki's.

J.P. and Kaden spent the day at Kidz Bounce and then to McDonalds... a kid's dream.

My baby boy is 5.
Why is it that when the other 3 kids turned 5 I thought they
were so old?
I still feel like Kaden is so little?
Is it because he's the youngest that we still allow him to
sleep in our bed in the middle of the night?

The other's couldn't
do that.

Is it because he's the youngest that I buy him a donut, or candy
bar, or corn dog to eat while we're shopping?

Didn't do that for the others.

Is it because he's the youngest that we lay in bed with him and snuggle until he falls asleep at night?

Definately did not do that with the others.

Is it because he's my baby that I won't even consider full day kindergarten?

For sure didn't have those feelings with the others.

I am so happy that he still lets me hug and kiss him whenever I want. (even though he does wipe my kisses off.)

He is such a happy boy. He loves to make us laugh. He loves to tell jokes. He loves to play computer games. He loves to do puzzles. He is loves to carry around his box of books that he's learning to read. He loves to be with his dad. He has to sit by him at dinner and kneel by him at family prayer. They go do errands together. Jeff gave Kaden a screwdriver a few weeks ago and showed him how to tighten our cupboards. Kaden went around the house fixing all of our cupboards. Since then he has declared himself to be a future construction worker. His main job is to empy the dishwasher which he does mostly without complaining. He also responds to super fast counting and trying to break his record from the time before... for example putting on his seat belt, making his bed or getting dressed.
