Father's Day this year was a bit overshadowed by mom being in the rehab facility and us caring for her.
However, it does NOT mean that dad is any less special.
In fact, he would rather have it this way...
him getting less of the attention.
But, as we shared a dinner in the dining hall of the rehab facility, we still celebrated this great man. His gifts were a trip to J Dawgs with all his grandchildren and an evening at the Owlz game.
Dad with his favorite child.
Dad is one of the most perfect people I know.
His knowledge and testimony of the Gospel are inspiring.
He is always bringing up talks or scriptures that's he's read and sharing them with the family.
He wants his posterity to know that he knows of the importance of living the Gospel Standards...
never wavering no matter what.
He used to tell us that nothing would break his heart more, or cause him to roll over in his grave than finding out that one of his children or grandchildren left the Church. He has always willingly served in the church never complaining; putting his family and GOD first... always.
He lives by example that happiness comes from doing what is right. As he has watched his children have challenges he has been our #1 cheerleader in making sure we continue to do the things that will keep the Spirit with us. The Lord can only bless us if we are relying on Him, following His teachings and living a good life.
Dad has definitely taught that by example.
His whole desire in life is to serve and help others, mostly his family.
After he knows that everyone is happy and comfortable then he can sit and relax.
He is funny.
He gives the tightest hugs and the more he pounds on your back the more he loves you.
This here is great man!
We were so happy to celebrate him because he deserves a grand celebration!
Happy Father's Day DAD!
Sure love ya!
