31 Flavors of Assorted Yumminess in our Day

I used to think I was really dumb at Math.
I got terrible grades in Math.
I had a fat teacher who ate candy bars and cokes in class and only taught from his overhead projector.  He never got out of his chair.  If he liked us then he would let us go and get him more candy bars and cokes from the vending machine.
This is where I began hating math.

I think if they had Google when I was in school then I'd be really smart.
Or if I just had a teacher that cared.

Nowadays I help Emmy with her Math.  Fifth grade math.  At first I was scared to help her but necessity forced me into it.  We came up with a system.
She works out a problem in her workbook and I work it out on my whiteboard.
We pray that we come up with the same answer and when we do we cheer LOUD!
It means we are both awesome at Math.
If we don't come up with the same answer then we google the problem and learn how to do it and see who did it wrong.
We have realized that
WE BOTH ARE SO SMART IN MATH!!!
Emmy's little theater board project for her book she read.
Did I tell you that Maryn went to Provo High Seminary?
This is her on her first day.
She ended up LOVING the teacher and LOVING seminary. (her teacher was good friends with Uncle Marc).
She loved it so much that she just might do it again next year.
Wait!  What?
My cousin Stephanie blessed her 2nd baby girl.
It was fun to go and see lots of cousins.
This is us sitting in church.
There was no room on the big kitchen table when the family ate together so Ady found the next best spot... again.
...and again.
If she fits, why not?
4'11, 75 pounds and 14 years old in a high chair!
A lovely Sunday dinner outside with the family.
One Tuesday after our Mentoring class dad reminded us that it was his first Tuesday as a retired BYU professor.  So we decided to celebrate and go to Kneaders!  Does he look like a relaxed man or what?
This is his retirement party invitation.
We had an awesome turnout!
Super fun party for one of the greatest men I know.
I FINALLY got around to giving us some privacy and making us curtains for our back door.
Hallelujah!
I laughed so hard when the first thing Kaden did when I put up the curtains was roll up in them.
Haven't we all done that before??
After church one day Kaden saw this yellow motorcycle in the parking lot.  He asked me to take a picture of him by it.  What a total stud!
Love this boy!
His tie even matches.
Marty and I doing a selfie with the shark at the new aquarium in Draper.  We had a Strongbrook meeting there and were able to tour the aquarium as part of the evening.
It was such a  fun place!
As the speaker spoke he stood right in front of the giant wall of glass with all of these ocean-life creatures swimming by.
This one reminded us of the Australian turtles on "Finding Nemo".
Fin, noggin, dude.
and this was Ursula's pet eel on "Little Mermaid".
Lovely sunrise on our way to school.
Do you see the circle of light around the sun?
Maryn got to spend a few days with Brooke
(the Shuman's niece).
They got their toes done.
And at a soccer game LOOK who they saw...
THE very Stephanie Nielsen
They asked to take a picture with her and they said she was so fun and peppy and nice.  She probably gets recognized a lot when she's out in public but was nice to pose for these kids who think she's awesome.

The daily joy of fixing Emmy's hair before school.
Maryn is getting lots of Lovin' from her uncles.

General Conference morning enjoying our traditional crepes.
We had to search the whole neighborhood to find Kaden so we could leave for our Spring Break.
Of course we didn't look in the fishy fountain for him...
He stunk like dead fish for our 3 hour car ride.  He claims it was worth it because he had so much fun but the 4 of us girls would fight him to the death on that!
Blah!  The whole car stunk!
Ady is always tired.
She's warming up her pancakes and spacing out.
She's so cute when she's tired.
I love to capture all the little moments of our life.
It's these moments I forget the quickest but these moments that make life normal.

Ta Ta!
