Month of Birthdays

March has lots of birthdays in our family, so there were lots of parties.

For Maryn's Birthday we all (Jeff included) went tubing at Soldier Hollow.
It was a sunny 60 degree day.
We actually were hot.
It was beautiful and even though the snow was slushy and we weren't sliding down as fast as we wanted
we still had a great time.

Spencer came with us too.

Sometimes our tube could come to a dead stop in the middle of the hill and there was no other way to get down but to walk it down.
This didn't make Emmy very happy.

We got ice cream in Midway afterwards and found these weird people at the store.
Sunday we celebrated Maryn and Marianne's birthday.
For Maryn's birthday we had Chicken and Broccoli her current favorite dish.
I took this picture to show that she had seconds and thirds and licked her plate clean.
Marc's birthday was at the end of the month and since we were all together for his big day most of us went out to lunch at a yummy Mexican place.

 Me and the birthday boy!

During the month we also celebrated Cambri and Kate's birthdays.
Silmara came with us to Kate's party and snuggled up with Maryn for most of the time.
Cutie pie one year old Kate!

Let me just take a second here to bear my testimony of how much I love Maryn.
She is a sparkling refreshment.
Since the day she was born she was always one step ahead of me.  Well, now she's about a mile ahead of me.  I can't quite keep up with her pizazz and energy.  She has a desire to be good and make others happy but she's also realizing that she gets in her own way of being good and happy.  She is her own biggest challenge at times.  But she has been blessed with many things and she is overflowing with talent which balances things out.

At 17 years old Maryn has had the extremes of an abundant life and a life full of challenges.
I believe that Heavenly Father has blessed her twice as much in the awesome department because she has had some hardships to overcome.  Her challenges aren't over.  She's still in the middle of them, but as a mom I am grateful that she has more natural talents than most people because she can use them to her advantage in bringing JOY to her life.  The trick is getting her focus on her blessings and talents rather than the things that will bring her down again and again.
She is currently living with Marianne and James which is an great thing for her right now.
I am thankful we have them as a resource.  Life is crazy for all of us and we do the best with what we have been given.  She's doing home school while going to Provo High Seminary.  She says she has the worlds greatest seminary teacher who happens to be a guy that Marc graduated from Provo High with.

Maryn is so musical.  Maryn is a great dancer.  She loves to eat food in her bedroom.  She loves to listen to music in her bedroom.  She loves to fix her hair and others hair.  She is a great sister to her siblings.  She loves friends.  She is trying to become a runner right now, running a little everyday.  She just bought a bunch of cute exercise clothes so she can be a cute runner.  She likes to be silly.  She has a knack for photography and editing pictures and such.

Maryn is going to make a fantastic mother and Young Women's president someday because of all the awesome things she is learning.  Most people don't learn these things until they are adults.  Once again proving that Maryn is way ahead of us in life.
She's a great daughter and person and I love Maryn!
