I am the biggest fan ever of Time Out For Women.
I love it on so many different levels.
For an early Christmas present I gave a hotel stay to the great ladies in my life...
Mom, Marianne and Danielle to have some girl time.
Friday night, I couldn't resist taking this picture of Sheri Dew playing the piano.
She is such a great lady whom I've always admired, but there was something about seeing her play a hymn for us to sing to that made her seem normal. She was one of us.
LOVED this moment,
Ann Romney joined us on Friday night too. She did an interview Q and A with Sheri Dew that was just lovely. She's an elegant lady who looks good in a Republican red dress. She gave the great answers and helped us see that she would have made an awesome First Lady.
It was the funnest surprise to see my bestest friend and mission comp ever Lynette and her husband Mark at the event on Friday night. (Mark is so okay with his manhood that he could be at a Time Out for Women and not even care that he was 1 of the 5 men there. He just wanted to feel the Spirit so he came.) Lynette and I texted in our hotel rooms after and they promised to save seats for us on Saturday. I loved sitting with them all of Saturday and just being with Lynette. I can't even tell you what she does to me. She's my favorite! and it just added to my whole weekend experience to be with her there.
Loved being with these ladies too. Always a good time when we're together. Snuggling in bed with them and giggling during our night time prayers. Only with family.
Normally I like to write out a few things that I learned and felt during TOFW. But not this time. I did learn a lot but the telling of it will have to wait for another day.
It's funny to have older kids and go to events like this. In the past I would have been in a hurry to get home to them, but this time I said, "Let's go to a movie!" But, since 2 of the others had little kids they were anxious to get home. Darn! I went home and hugged my kids anyway.
