things to remember

I am realizing more and more that if I don't record even the littlest of things then my children won't remember anything...
and heavens-to-Betsy I won't remember either.

Here's to remembering that we are trying our hardest to be domestic.

I want my children to know that I woke up at 6:30 in the morning on a Saturday to make sweet rolls for their piano party.  I woke up that early because I remembered during the night that I didn't have yeast.  So, in the snowy, dark morning, with my bed hair and fat coat I went to the store, came home and made these scrumptious little yummies so they would be ready to go by 10:00 AM.
They turned out pretty much perfect.
I want Emmy to remember that if she is totally bored and bugging people in the house there is always something to do to be creative...
She lined up all these festive treats and made the tastiest snack ever!
Emmy is domestic!
Anyone who lives around us or who is a visiting teacher or home teacher or friend or favorite, will know that we make salsa of the Gods.
Very humbly,
we're just saying,
that this salsa rocks and we made TONS of it to give away at Christmas time.
I love that my kids can whip out a salsa batch upon request.
Always remember that Salsa = Love.
We didn't want to give the salsa out to everyone, so we made a gazillion batches of this granola.
yep,
It's a favorite too.
SO, yummy.
It happens to be the same recipe that Mitt Romney made while he was on the campaign trail.
Got it from friends who were in their ward in Boston.
It's definitely Presidential worthy.
I want my beauties to remember that no matter how old they get they are really good gingerbread house makers.
This tradition we had to squeeze into the schedule this year because things were a little crazy.  But, we were determined to get-er done.
A tradition is a tradition after all.

Such important things to remember as we ended the year 2013.
