The Sunday before Memorial Day we went to the cemetery to see Grandma and Grandpa Harston's grave. We talked about our memories of them. They were good folks!
Monday morning we were so happy to have a day off. We started out with a brisk nature walk with Mom and Dad and the Shumans down the Provo, River Trail.
Maryn got to spend the whole weekend with us. It was SO awesome to spend so much extra time with her.
She wanted to be pushed in the stroller too with Lexi... my little baby girl.
The boys were collecting sticks and making Marianne carry them so they could find more treasures.
Yep, tons of fun for her!
Then James caught a snake, much to my dissatisfaction. I believe we need to let nature, especially snakes stay on the ground.
On top of that he let my preshy niece Kenley hold that snake. Not good.
And then my preshy Ady also thought it would be ok to hold that same snake.
Very bad idea Ady!
Then my only boy, Kaden took a turn.
VERY bad idea indeed! I couldn't even look.
Fortunately, that snake got put down on the ground to slither back into the long grass.
Good-bye snake!
We had a yummy BBQ and Slurpee's back at home.
The girls helped Marianne try out her new fingernail painting kit.
The last thing on our "to do" list was to play baseball.
It was a rowdy, fun game with almost everyone.
Cambri and McKay were our cheerleaders.
Marc went easy on us being a "lefty."
I was surprised at what naturals my kids were at this game since we don't play so often.
Bubba had to run the bases with all the kids on his shoulders. I bet he regret that the next day.
It was a great Memorial Day and only made me more super duper excited for Summer to hurry and start! We are so so so so so ready for school to be over!!!
