School Music and Cultural Recitations

I love the end of the year programs that the kids do to show off everything that they've learned and memorized throughout the year.
It makes a mother proud to see how stinkin' smart her kids are getting.
Kaden is so animated when he's up there singing and reciting.
Do you see that cute little boy to the left of Kaden?
When Kaden introduced me to him he hugged him, rubbed his head and said,
"Mom, this is Wesley, he's my little man."

Kaden just looks to Wesley like this tiny little boy and Kaden is the big brother.

All the first graders.

The Memorial Day school assembly was super great this year.
 All the classes sang.
Ady's choir sang.
She took all morning to get her hair to be super curly but with her light hair standing out among all the dark hair in the school she's not hard to find.
Emmy's 4th grade class performance was super great too.
Grandma and Grandpa even came to cheer her on.
She made sure to put on her bet smiles for all of us.

In preparation for Ady's 7th grade dance, because her mom is allergic to shopping, she had Aunt Marianne take her out dress shopping.   Then she realized she didn't really like the cute dress they had bough together after all.  So, she had her dad take her out shopping again, and they picked out this pretty dress.
But, notice that she did NOT wear either one of the dresses that she had bought for this event.  She ended up wearing this dress which happens to be Emmy's dress.
Ady is SO weird!!
Jeff came to dance the last parent dance with her.
Of course Ady was dying with embarrassment but we don't really care about Ady getting embarrassed anymore.
Even though the last month of school was the end of this friendship, I'm slipping it in here anyway.  Channing was Ady's good friend for most of their 7th grade year.  We carpooled with her which we could share many stories of conversations had, behavior observed, picking up Channing at her home in a snow storm, a near accident on the freeway on pure ice, getting Slurpee's after school, music listened to and on and on.  Sort a glad that year is over for all involved.
Everyone had to dance with different partners each dance.
Then, the last dance partner escorted them out as they shook hands with the leaders thanking them for a wonderful evening.  I, personally thought this boy who Ady was with was cute and just the right size for her.
I think Ady is adorable!  Even though she's out of her comfort zone to be on a boy's arm and to be making eye contact with someone she doesn't know, she is faking it well and growing SO much!!!

Love our school which gives my kids opportunity to learn manners and etiquette.  Love it for teaching them so many things which makes them smart.
I love my kids for being so darn cute and smart!
