Since we have moved to Utah Ady's heart has been in and out of gymnastics.
We found a gym that she doesn't LOVE.
But she goes and does a great job and gets totally buff working out 3 times a week.
She had 2 meets the beginning of the year.
Here are some photos of her with my very unprofessional camera.
We had the best cheerleaders come to her first meet.
She did awesome!
Here are photos of the second meet.
I love this picture because she's not even trying to be tough but just
LOOK
at how well defined that arm is!!!
I'm so jealous!
That's how her whole body is. Well defined, tight, muscular and fit.
They placed all 8 of the girls who were in her age bracket.
Ady didn't do as well as she wanted in this meet because her arm was hurting her,
therefore, not many smiles on the podium.
Adsie Mae has the body of a gymnastics. There are some gymnasts who are tall and lanky and think they are all that... but not Ady.
She is just naturally small and perfectly perfect to be a gymnast.
After her arm hurt for a few days we decided to take a few months off of gymnastics to give it a break. Soon, she realized how much free time she was having. She liked it! She also has struggled with being one of the oldest girls in her group. In Utah everyone is an over-achievers so she had much much younger girls on her level with her. In Washington there were much smaller groups in her levels so she got a lot of attention from her coaches and was able to progress fast.
Not in Utah.
Gigantic classes, not so much attention. In Washington she was had a mean coach from Romania who would stretch and condition them until they couldn't move. Ady loved it! She thrived and progressed. Some days practicing over 4 hours a day.
Then we had to move to Utah and ruin it all.
Now with 3 months off Ady really doesn't want to go back to gymnastics. As a mom I know she could be completely the most awesome gymnast ever getting scholarships and winning meets.
But, how far do you push our little preshie children?
It's a hard line to walk in helping our kids grow and develop in the ways they should. Sometimes I wonder why in the world Ady was blessed with this cutest littlest body ever that is perfect for gymnastics and why she has such a natural gift for it only to give it up and toss aside forever???
Why? Why? Just tell me what to do and I will do it.
