I looked forward to BYU Women's Conference for such a long time. I haven't gone for a few years and thought it was awesome since now living in Utah I could go if I felt like it.
I did.
I wasn't able to go to very much of it but what I did attend became a nugget of gold that I am still savoring. The best part was meeting up with Jackie and sitting next to her in 2 classes. That alone was a super awesome treasure.
Here are some random nuggets that I learned at the Conference:
*I want my kids to be able to say, "I have never felt closer to Heaven than when I have been at home with my family."
*Gratitude is like medicine.
*Being negative is not a form of Light.
*We can have Peace in adversity if we change the way we SEE. Good or Bad-- they are just experiences. Even the painful experiences could be Sacred experiences if they sanctify us and make us better. The Savior himself had horrifically hard experiences and he was perfect and made whole.
*Sometimes bad things happen. Satan wants us to believe that God has moved away. Fine tune your obedience so you can tap into God's power.
*We can also be Another Testament of Jesus Christ. Our discipleship is made manifest in the things we DO. Our lives are a symbol of our testimony.
Amen!
