Sunday afternoons are my favorite days of the whole entire week.
I love to relax with my family and enjoy the time with nothing going on.
Since moving to Utah we have found much JOY in having family dinner with my family,
something that I have missed so much for many years.
However,
the utterly relaxing feeling that we used to enjoy on Sundays has gone up a few notches.
There's a bit more chaos with more people around plus preparing a large meal for the multitudes creates more work for all.
So,
one day after church when I noticed small groups gathered around the huge kitchen table doing little quite projects I felt a tickle of happiness that reminded me of how much I love Sunday afternoons.
Grandpa doing puzzles with Kaden and Spencer.
Jeff working quietly on something extremely important, I'm sure.
Grandma and Emmy being smart readers of the Newspaper together.
Me, doing my stitchery.
Ady and Bubba playing a bonding game.
We have been eating every week with my family since we are close and can do it. It has been fun and a blessing.
But, when we move to our new home we will go on the every other week plan of eating with the large fam so we can spend the other Sundays just us. We want the best of both worlds, you know. Sometimes that is needed too.
We want to pick up our Sunday traditions that we had as a Slichta family before the move that are bonding and bring togetherness and relaxing peace and joy forever and ever Amen.
Sundays,
love them!
