With Merrill heading back to Seattle and Mom and Dad's mission drawing closer we wanted to do a Family Reunion to all get away together with no distractions.
On a Saturday in August we went to Jordanelle Reservoir.
We rented some fun lake equipment from BYU and were glad that we brought the big white van and big boys to help us out.
We set up our designated spot and got ready for a lot of fun with sunscreen, beach chairs, life preservers...
...the proper hairdo
and so much food we didn't even make a dent in it.
As we were getting ready for the water dark clouds came in and a nippy wind.
But, we weren't afraid.
Uncle Marty guarded the littles and kept them safe and warm.
Emmy found a warm place to snuggle and then decided to take a little nap.
With the strong wind Maryn decided it was faster to jump out and swim to shore with Merrill enjoying the ride.
Grandma and Grandpa enjoyed watching everyone be together.
These guys thought it would be fun to have a little squirting fight.
It was SO nice to be together as a family.
Love this group SO much!
There is no one I would rather be with than this crazy, wonderful group of folks.
We couldn't pass Dairy Keen without stopping for some grub after.
And we had to document McKay's hamburger--2 paties, chicken breast and ham. He said it was totally worth it.

It's times like this when you realize that too often we get caught up in the busy life. It takes time and effort to do the things that are the most worthwhile with the people who matter most. We take for granted that these people are part of our life and need to STOP and enjoy each other. This fun day only told us that we needed to getaway together more often.
This family of mine is the biggest blessing to me.
I must have done something right to be part of such a great family!
Love them!!!
