Lots of fun real fast

In no particular order here are several random but marvelous things from the summer.
(we actually did squeeze in a lot)
I had great amounts of fun with Koni, Ron and about 5 other couples at the Peter Breinholt concert at the Thanksgiving Point outdoor theater.
I didn't like being the lone single girl without a partner, but it was fun to be with Koni and the concert was fantastic!

I believe this was Father's Day.
I sure have the best dad in the whole wide world!
A day at Thanksgiving point getting ice cream cones and going to the Museum of Natural Curiosity.
Just one of the bazillion things to do there.
We had some fun family dinners and BBQ's during the summer.  Ady is getting extra lovin's from 2 of her uncles.
The kids never cease to stop doing plays and performances for us.  I love that Emmy at 11 years old still is a leader in the shows.
We LOVED having Merrill around for part of the Summer.  Before we went to the Pageant we were able to pack in a few funtimes outings.  Here we are at the Scera pool.  Everything is always funner with Bubba around.

The Shuman's gifted Kaden with this gigantic mustard.  He loves mustard so much and was so happy to have his very own mustard.  Now we got our year's supply.  Thanks!
Family time at Waffle Luv is time well spent.
So fun to have Eric and Alicia Smith stay a few nights with me as they were dropping off their daughter at BYU.
Love them and I appreciate their friendship SO much!
Kaden had a private Master Class with an awesome teacher from Colorado.  His name is Steve and taught Kaden some great things on his guitar.
Kaden was swimming with friends before this lesson and was mad to leave the pool but after this lesson I think he thought playing the guitar was pretty cool.
A little walk to Bridal Veil Falls.
It was hard not to cry my eyes out when my children left for a week to go on a cruise with their dad to the Bahamas.  I tried to act happy for them as I helped them pack assuring them I was going to be fine while they were gone.  I had a lot of people telling me to take advantage of this time.  They would LOVE to have a week without their children to do whatever they wanted.  I did listen to their counsel, but knowing that my children were going on a GIGANTIC vacation without their mom to hug them, take care of them and watch them have fun because of a nasty divorce is pretty painful.  I dare you to try it!

Thankfully my family was helpful in keeping me busy.        We went to the temple
then went to the Sizzler afterwards.

One day we went out to Springville to an authentic Hawaiian and delisioso place.  Aloha yum!!!
Picture of my kidlets at the airport before flying to Florida.
This is an instagram that Ady put together of tons of pictures of them on their cruise.  It looked like they had a marvelous time, but I hugged them the tightest when I found them at the airport and told them they couldn't ever leave me again.
Ady and Maryn came home with cool cornrows.
Bubba waited an extra day to go home so my kids would be back from their trip and could say adios to him too.  All the nieces and nephews love him.
I was asked to accompany Michael Campbell at a mission farewell of a guy who was at pageant with us.  I was honored to play for Michael.  The kids had a grand reunion with friends.  Emmy was not only happy to see Pageant friends, but she got to spend the weekend with Seattle friend Audrey Daynes.
We had a few visits with the Madsens during the summer.  Kaden was the best babysitter for little Elsie.
The week before Riverton started Maryn decided to go to school there.  She had been living with the Shumans since March and came back to live with her mommy after the Pageant.  She couldn't decide if she should go to school at Provo High where she had good friends and a seminary teacher that she loved.  She went to Girls camp with Marianne's ward and wanted to stick with all those girls and YW leaders who she knew.  Or go to Riverton and be with her family but also not start FRESH like she wanted.  There were pro's and con's with both decisions and we couldn't decide.  I was looking at Riverton's website and saw that TODAY was the day for senior's to go get their picture taken.  I said, "Maryn, let's go right now to get your picture taken just in case!"  So, we did.  While we were there and walking the halls Maryn said, "I think I'm supposed to go here."  We arranged with the choir teacher for her to tryout for choir.  He wanted her in 2 different choirs.  In a matter of hours things were falling in place.  Friday we met with the counselor, had her registered and Monday, she started school.
It was a whirlwind but we felt good about it and happy to have a tough decision made.
Here Maryn is trying out for choir.
One Friday I got a text from my friend, Dawn Armstrong inviting me and the kids to go see a preview of the movie, Meet the Mormons that she was in with her family.  The movie was starting in 30 minutes.  It was showing at BYU and we were all grungy in Bluffdale.  We barely made it in.
It was fantastic movie!
We were proud to say that we knew the Armstrongs.
As we walked back to the car at BYU we took some pictures of the beautiful walk and stream running along the trail.

Ady was asked to help Brad Findlay to help serve snowcones at the APA open house.
Maryn helped.
had to caputure pictures of them being helpful.

Love my girls who wanted to lay all over me when I was having some relaxing Sunday time.
Maryn, Ady and Emmy did a 5 day teenage retreat in Lehi in June.  Emmy isn't in this picture but wanted to capture proof that the other 2 were there.

Hallelujah for great people and experiences in our life.  I love my kids and all the fun and crazy things we do every day.  We really are blessed.
