Emmy had a super awesome harp Christmas concert. It was combined with another harp teacher and her students. It was at a Lutheran church in Sandy and the harpists played with the church's choir and bell choir. There were a lot of people involved. It required many Saturdays of rehearsals but it was well worth it and was a great event getting us in the Christmas Spirit.
Emmy's harp teacher and all of her girlie students.
Modeling their hairpieces that the teacher made for them.
Emmy sitting among nearly 40 harps. It was an amazing site.
Maryn's ballroom team had a Christmas performance with all the other BYU youth teams.

All Ballroom girls look exactly the same with their tight buns.
She is the cute one...3rd girl from the left.

There's nothing like watching your kids perform especially when you see how hard they work and how much they love what they do.
It sure makes a MOM proud.
A mom sees what their kids have the potential of becoming if only those children would work hard. Mom's know their kids could be dancers and singers and concert pianists and be on the National Honor Society and hike Mount Everest and run marathons and memorize the entire Book of Mormon and build houses for large villages and be CEO's of big companies and be the President of the planet. We believe in their possibilities. Mom's KNOW their kids can do anything. The hard part is getting them to believe it too. Cause if they don't believe it then practicing and working hard is TORTURE!! Sometimes, even though it's torture you still have to getting them to practice and work hard and then someday
when they are the President
they'll thank you.
Most days when my gas tank is on empty driving my kids all over the valley and
most days that are filled with contention trying to get my kids to practice what they do
and
most days when I am exhausted in my tug-of-war with them
I keep the vision of knowing what they are capable of becoming and
remember that most children are plagued with a Childhood blindness that keeps them from SEEING who they really are.
I still love them and am proud of them.
They are talented and capable
and someday they'll
THANK ME.
I can't wait!
