Girls 'n Crafts 'n Halloween

We had a hard time squeezing in pumpkin'  carving this year.
Not sure where Emmy and Maryn were but at least we could cross it off our list as DONE!

We had our usual Girl's craft night and traditional Johnson/Brinkerhoff/Erickson/Matheson/Slichta Halloween party.
The girls made a burlap banner which we soon found became a tad labor intensive.

But in the end,
cuteness is worth any amount of extra work.
Our crafty food did not disappoint again either...

Marianne and I were feeling very SPOOKY with our cheek spots and bloody eye problems.
Nasty!
2 cute lady bugs
Chow time with the fam

Heather stirring up the Witches Brew with the cousins.
All the guys took their turn styling the wig to see who wore it best...
Tyce
Matt
Marty
Grandpa
Richard
Baby Lexy was a little Piggy.
For our actual Halloween night Lexy was a cute cowgirl.
The Slichtas!
Marty a red-neck baseball player.

Emmy, Little Red Riding Hood and her 2 besties out trick or treating together.
Danielle, Marty and myself full of spooky spirit.
Marianne, a super-star-revival-singer-Baptist-choir girl.
cousins getting ready to get some treats.
The Shumans
As I roamed the neighborhood with all the kids, parents and family I passed several friends who I waved and said Hi to.  I cracked up each time because no one recognized me.  I even stopped the Bishop because I had a question for him.
After talking for 2 minutes he finally had to ask who I was.
I guess my costume was either super awesome or super ugly... or both.
Kaden, the Ninja!
Maryn, (wearing the nerd glasses that we wear when we want a safe costume)
and the teenagers getting ready to go out.
Grandma and Grandpa holding down the home-front.
You just gotta come home and organize your loot.
