Even after being in Utah for a year we still never take it for granted that we are here
close to family.
For 17 years I remember calling on Sunday nights, or any night, sometimes feeling lonely or just wanting to chat with the fam.
Many times the whole family would be together for Sunday dinners, playing games, having friends over, off to some entertaining event and I would feel sad not to be apart of it. It made it way worse when I was the only one away in the whole entire family and frankly sometimes I felt left out. I don't think it would have bothered me as much if everyone was spread out across the country too.
But I missed everyone a lot and my kids did too.
Of course for all those years I was having my own adventures but there's still nothing like sharing moments with family...
the friends who matter most.
So now, I believe we are making up for lost time for sure.
We had everyone over for dinner one day in October.
Then we had puzzle races.
The kids also love showing their BYU team Spirit by going to football games with
Grandpa and Marc.
I'm training them well.
(Emmy asked me the other day if I would still love her if she didn't go to BYU.)
Stay tuned for lots and lots more family FUN.
