stormy entertainment

In Utah there is ALWAYS good entertainment going on.
I missed it so much when I didn't live here...
the constant decision of where to go and what to do because there is SO much.

Two particular concerts were a hands-down no brainer knowing that we HAD to go.

Lower Lights.

Their concert was supposed to be in the Historic park downtown S.L but because of rain earlier in the day they switched it to the Assembly Hall on Temple Square.

Oh, it was such a yummy, hand clapping, foot stompin', warm-your-heart- kind of concert.
I took this picture and got in trouble afterwards by the cute sister missionary.
(why the heck can't I take a picture of them??)

I love love these people... a little retro, a little quirky, so unique and super fabulous!

After the concert we had a warm-summer-night walk around Temple Square.

If you haven't heard of The Piano Guys then you better get out more.
This concert was just Maryn, Ady and I.
It was pretty much unbelievablyamazingawesometerrificsupergreatfantastic!!!
As we pulled into the parking lot it was raining.
As we took our seats it was sprinkling.
As the concert started it dumped buckets with a touch of lightning and thunder.
I thought for sure the concert would be canceled because we could have easily been struck by lightning, but not only that the musicians and their instruments were getting wet.
Even though the musicians were under a tarp, every once in a while they would finish their song and say, "oh wow, let me wipe down the piano, it's getting wet."
The audience had tarps, blankets and umbrellas to protect themselves.
 Even so, we got soaked.
CAN YOU SEE THE RAIN?!
The rain just added to the excitement of being there, not to mention gave me an excuse to snuggle with my girls.  I LOVED being there with them!
It was great for them to see how much fun you can have with music!

Thanks Utah!  Glad to be here.
Thanks talented music people who are willing to share love of music.
See you next time!
