cousins party

I love living in Utah and being a part of FAMILY togetherness.
In June we had a Cousins dinner to celebrate the visit of the Illinois family.
Nothing like a Bee-Bee Q in the backyard to enjoy the Summer.
Maryn was being a bit sassy and didn't see the whip-cream dessert coming right behind her.  I love this shot: Maryn thinking she's posing all cute for the camera.  An action shot with James coming behind. The cousins looking on knowing what is about to happen.
Nothing like whip cream in the eyeballs.  Yep, she was shocked!
But James was nice enough to help clean up.
Every teenager needs an uncle to keep them humble.
Emmy wanted to participate too with the left over plate of dessert.
Not sure why we took this picture because it's missing ALL the other cousins that were there.
And not sure why Marianne is sitting on my lap.
Five of the 6 Harston siblings.
Notice goofy Uncle Mark who hates to have his picture taken.
Everyone else looks good but Mark has to look like a weirdie.
We tried to explain to him that he looks sillier trying not to get his picture taken than just smiling for the camera.   Maybe he didn't learn that when he was a kid.
I personally enjoy being with my aunts and am glad to enjoy them as an adult.  For so many years people wondered if Melanie or Michelle were my mom or sister.  We used to have sleepovers and good times together way back when, but now it's nice to be friends with them.
Emmy with cute cousins.
Always a good time... need to do it more often.
It wouldn't have been a real Harston family moment if we didn't play a wild game of Pounce.  Fun and wild.
It's getting pretty viscous with the littler cousins getting faster and wilder at that game.
The competition is getting VERY tough now for us oldies.
