Smelly Conferences

In June I was invited to attend a Young Living Essential Oils Conference in Salt Lake City.  In the spirit of togetherness (with my mom and uncles) and to enjoy an afternoon away from children
I accepted.
Outside the S.L. convention center were lots of special pianos decorated unique.  I thought to give the pedestrians a dramatic performance.  Nope, didn't happen, just a good picture to make you think I gave an awesome show.
Because we bought tickets at the door for this sold-out event, we got tickets from a no-show.  I was Erik.
 The final conference was amazing.
Mom actually took this picture to sneak a decent one of 1/2 of Uncle Mark's face... he wasn't hiding his head.
Bob Proctor was the final key note speaker.  He is known for being a life coach; for his thoughts on the Law of Attraction and his DVD The Secret.  He spoke for over 3 hours and for a 78 year old man had more energy for that entire time than I ever have had.   I took 10, X, ten pages of notes.  He was amazing.  Here is a crumb of what I took notes on...
*There is perfection with in us and it's our job to bring it to the surface.  We aren't here on Earth just to get by.  *Have a vision and surround yourself with powerful friends who lift and make a difference.  *Never submit to failure.  We all fail to a degree everyday but we don't submit to it. *we don't resist change, we resist being changed.  *decide to make your life an absolute adventure.  *If you put enough good out it will ALWAYS come back to you.  *There are 2 most important days in our life: 1)the day we were born, 2) the day we realized we were born.  *leave everyone you come in contact with the impression of increase.

So, this is a Young Living Essential Oils convention that lasted the whole week.  I was just there the last day.  There was so many lovely things to try and smell and taste.  Mom and I stuck close to Myles and Nancy and Mark and Mike who are the experts. (not this cute oil fairy lady.)
The next day, Saturday they had a Farm Day for the whole family.  The Farm is in Mona, Utah and it was the fanciest farm I have ever seen, not to mention the lavender fields  that were everywhere.
Ady enjoyed tip-toeing through the Lavender.
Lots of ponds and streams to helping us to stay cool
 Wagon rides
An evening show with Sawyer Brown as the entertainer.
A moose (dead of course) to climb on.  Weird.
A frontier town for the kids to play.

An old-town shoot out.
I might add that this was the hottest day in the whole world.  We were dying.
 Paddle boats.
A delicious dinner in the evening.  Merrill's catering company served the dinner, so it was extra fun to have him there too.
Emmy holding some one's pet rat.  Nasty!
The kids had fun with Mike and Monica's kids who came too.  Kaden and Wesley would not get off of the paddle boats and Ady and Kalanie loved their fancy arm tattoo.  I didn't take any pictures of the real-life jousting that happened in the Medieval stadium but that was pretty awesome with knights and princesses and everything.
We got home so late.  It was a long and HOT day.  We were so tired.  But, actually it was a super fun day and boy oh boy, did I get an education in essential oils.  I'm a believer.
