Family Field Trip

After the gymnastics camp what else is there to do but go have a hot dog and J Dawgs. Just barely south of campus is this little place that my dad, (who grew up on hot dogs and can tell you the best places to get hot dogs in each of the 50 states) says is one of the best dogs around. Even though hot dogs give me heart burn I had one anyway I can honestly say that it was good.

Marianne, there she is. Fixin' to have a baby any minute. Her hot dog was y-u-m-m-y.

We thought it would be precious to have a family picture with us and our hot dogs.

Families that eat hot dogs together, stay together.
Maryn is so weird these days. Teenagers!
We went with Grandma and Grandpa to park city. Mom took this shot as she sat just ahead of us on the chair lift. These always freak me out with our feet dangling and nothing but a bar in front of us. I was extra freaked today as the wind gently rocked our chair lift.
You're looking at 2 of the greatest people I know.
Boarding the Alpine Slide.
Emmy was happy to ride with Grandma because they went real slow. Enjoy the scenery as you ride down... that's her motto.

Now a ride on the Coaster. Oh my! The best part was hearing Adyson and Jeff screaming like crazy people as they sped down the hill.
Emmy and Grandma again for a nice, relaxing ride down the mountain.
We noticed gradually throughout the day that Kaden was getting very crabby. He did NOT want to go on any ride we went on. He only wanted to ride this train. Finally, in the name of World Peace we let him do something he wanted to do. He rode the train and didn't even act like he was having any fun. He was so serious.
Does this look like a wave of a boy who's having fun?
Nope.
Maybe because as soon as we got home he came down with a burning fever. He was sick for the next 3 days. We felt bad for getting mad at him for being such a monster. Nothing like being forced into having fun when you don't feel good.
Our favorite friends across the street from Mom and Dad are the Halladays. Their kids got sick the same time as we all got sick. We had a huge party at the Dr.'s office on July 3rd getting throat's swabbed. Fortunately, out of 6 kids only 1 had strept throat. Sorry Laura. It was bonding though.
