Retreating

Maryn was so super duper lucky to spend her last week in Utah at the Retreat For Girls in
Logan, on the Utah State University campus.
It is sponsored by the Deseret Book people.
It is for girls 12-15 years old.
And it is only for girls.
As a mom of a young and lovely teenager I love the thought of a Retreat For Girls.
And fortunately, Maryn loved loved loved her week there too.

Maryn loved the speakers and singers she had all week especially seeing some in person that she has heard of so much before.
Cherie Call
Chad Hymas
Brad Wilcox
(who is sharing his M&M's with me... after Maryn told him who his mother was. We go way back.)
Laurel Christensen
Andrew Sweat

Carmen Rasmussen (American Idol participant)
We whisked Maryn away after the closing program of Girl's Retreat. We drove a million miles back home. Within 5 minutes of arriving home Maryn and I were in the car going to pick up Jeff's parents from the airport. They were coming to pay us a visit and to help out their son while his wife (me) and oldest daughter were off to YW Girl's Camp.

Yep, I went to Girl's Camp this year. Why not? It wasn't so bad, except for being cold at night and overall not getting enough sleep. The Girl's Camp here is a huge production. Amazing. It was the most specialist to be there with my darling daughter. Unfortunately, we weren't in the same group, but it was nice to have her come visit me in my group. She is such a nice person.
Coming home from girl's camp I felt my age... I was tired to the bone. It took me a week to recover. But I was glad I went.
