Thanks to Marianne's work we got tickets to the Scera Shell to see Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. After the BBQ that was also provided we had a while before the show started...
What do you do when you are at the park and have some spare time?
Make jewelery with Danielle that's what.
The show was cute. The weather was beautiful. Kaden's shirt got ruined after a bloody nose. We made him turn his shirt backwards after the bloody nose.
Riding in the van on the way home.
The first time we brought our bikes to Utah. We had tons of fun with them. Somewhere I have to locate the picture of Marianne riding her bike. Who knew that a 40 week pregnant woman would look so awesome riding a bike?
Marc went with us on our ride following the trail down to Utah Lake. Emmy was SO T-i-r-e-d the whole ride. She kept stopping. I grew impatient waiting for her and finally continued on down the path leaving her in my dust. I ended the trail and turned around for the return ride when Emmy had convinced a jogger that she had lost her mommy. The nice jogger had stopped to walk Emmy in the direction her mommy had ridden off. Oh Sure. Make me look like a negligent mother. The jogger had no idea how much patience I had given Emmy up to that point. Kids like to make us look like fools. I sure did after that ride.
Marc was trying to show Emmy how hilarious she looked. She is our most dramatic child regardless of the situation.
One of my favorite companions on my mission was Silmara Kuchinischi. We spent a wonderful evening with her. She made a fabulous dinner that even the kids couldn't get enough of. We watched a movie and we danced to Brazilian music. Then she showered us with gifts as we left. We love her!!!
Obrigada Silmara!
The Halliday girls planned a tea party and invited our girls with some other friends. They were so excited. Karen sure out did herself with the cutest little food and super fancy dishes that she borrowed from the church.
While the girls had their tea party the boys had to have one too. Thomas came over to join the boy party.
Ady's project with Grandma was working on this quilt.
Marjorie had a sewing project with ALL of the girls. She taught us how to make this cutsie purses.
We were so lucky to get tickets to the Hale Center Theater where 110 Degrees in the Shade was playing. The lucky part was that we got to see Audra McDonald play the lead part. She was marvelously fantastic! What a privilege to see her.
Marvin Payne was Audra's father.
I always feel so silly taking pictures of well-known people. I hate acting star struck or feeling like a crazy teenage fan. But, in spite of those feelings I had to take a picture of Marvin Payne since he is in the church DVD's of Liken the Scriptures that the kids love. (as a side note I also recorded in his studio when I was 16. He also married a family friend. We're really tight.)
Feeling like a nerd, but also big fans of this actor we had to get a picture of this guy. He played Nephi in the Liken the Scriptures DVDs. He was so hilarious in his role in this play. Cute too.
I promise we're getting close to the end of Utah. We really were there for almost a month and we really kept busy the whole time. It was the first time that we did all that was on our Funtime's list.
