Dance! Maryn! Dance!

The beginning of June Maryn had her dance recital. It was a fun event. This year Maryn took 2 classes of Ballet and a Lyrical dance. She would take dancing every single night and day if we let her. She has a love and gift for dancing... ever since she was born she was a mover to music. Here are a few of my favorite pictures.

Ballroom Dance.

There is a wonderful studio about 45 minutes from our house that focuses on youth dance groups... funny thing is that all the directors and instructors are from BYU and even danced with my 2 dancer brothers. There was an open audition with no experience required that we thought Maryn could go to just to "see" if it was something she'd be interested in. Well, to make a long story short, Maryn walked in with her tennis shoes, was given a handsomely tall 16 year old partner who taught her 3 steps to the Cha Cha and 3 steps to the Waltz in 15 minutes. We were both intimidated with all the experience that the other 100 kids showed, not to mention all the high heels... no other tennis shoes present doing ballroom dancing. Maryn nearly backed out with nerves so we were both shocked when we got the notices a few days later that not only did Maryn do a great job at the auditions but she made the youth junior Premier team!!!!!
