Happy Valentine's Day

Everything about our life right now seems so spur-of-the-moment and spontaneous. It's been a bit rocky, unstable and unsure for so long that Valentine's Day weekend was no exception. Craziness actually is "the normal" for us these days. So, Jeffrey was in California working and we decided to do a quicky, fun little trip to Utah... just the 2 of us. As is the usual for a mom who is wanting to go somewhere, getting care for the kids is the hardest and most stressful thing about leaving. Thanks to friends we made it work. Kaden stayed with his friend, KJ. Emmy stayed with Audrey. Maryn and Adyson stayed at home with a cute Laurel from the ward, Lydia. They were in girl heaven.
Jeff flew into Salt Lake at 8:30 and I flew in at 9:30. The weird but fun thing about the trip was that for the first time in the history of us visiting Utah we stayed in a hotel instead of the fam. Nice.
Marianne, my favorite and only sister is pregnant, with a girl, due at the end of June. Her photographer friend wants to take pictures of her every week in the same outfit until the end of her pregnancy. Cute idea. Since I happened to be there for the shoot, I got shot too. A darling sister's picture. The part that I am really perturbed about is this... I told Mr. Photographer that since I only had approximately 2 minutes to get ready for this session I kept my pants on with a large hole in the knee. With the hole and other self-conscious places that I have on my person I made Mr. Photographer promise to only do a head shot. He promised. I'll let you decide if he kept that promise.

Valentine's Day was a lovely dinner with the family. Marjorie made this cute wall like a family tree but with hearts. Cute idea! and super nice, short visit with everyone. Whenever I am away from the kids and have a tiny break from the demands of mothering I always say to myself, "I gotta do this more often." It was nice having Jeff all to myself.
Sure Love ya!
