We Sisters in Zion

Two years ago Marianne, Mom and me were given the gift of all gifts... 4 days in March at the Palm Springs Marriott Resort. It was divine. We asked to please make that gift a tradition for years to come. The next year we were given 5 days in March in Newport Beach. The accomodations were a few steps-down staying at the Marriott Residence Inn... nevertheless the beach, sun, and food were superb. This year the girls were given a 1 nighter in Salt Lake staying at the Marriott across from the temple. I am most grateful for the fun time we had and the tremendous sacrifing that the men in our lives went through for us to go. It was most appreciated and fun...lest you think I am not grateful for a 1 nighter less than an hour away. We did have lots of fun reminisching of the Marriott Resort 2 years ago and Newport Beach last year. We were disappointed that we wouldn't have anything to look forward to a few months down the road since we were cashing in on our present when we were already together. Anyhoo... we had a blast!

Marjorie, Marianne, Mom and me left Monday evening and drove to Salt Lake where we had dinner at the Lion House and then walked around the Joseph Smith Memorial Building for a bit.

On our way to our room we checked out the workout room and went through the motions of getting a great workout.

Danielle joined us after 9:00 sometime. The room situation was a bit odd. We had 2 full size beds and 1 roll away bed and 5 people. Hmmm... Marjorie got voted for the roll away bed because she tosses and turns a lot in her sleep. Look, she even had seat belts to strap her in. Now we had 2 full beds and 4 people. Cozy. We ended up putting the 2 beds together thinking that it would make more room... it didn't. Everyone slept pretty lousy!
The great news was that because the Concierge lounge was closed we got complimentary tickets for the breakfast buffet worth $17 a piece. Woah! We were thrilled. Who doesn't love to spend that kind of free money? Thanks for a fun time girls! Nothing like having great sisters-in-law, a mom and sister who are wonderful friends. I'd have a sleepless night again just to hang out with you all.
