Miscellaneous moments

I might have mentioned this before but I love to capture moments in my life.  I keep my camera in my purse so I can always have access to the little things I want to remember.  It's the little things I love but also the very things I forget so quickly.  So, here are some pictures that I just want to remember for a really long time.

When we had my whole family over for a Sunday dinner the kids got creative with a huge box we brought home from a store.
They made a t.v.
Then they put on a show through the t.v.
Their "people" were so creative and cute.
Emmy had written up a dialogue that was masterful and their delivery was adorable.

Kaden got 4 dart guns for his birthday.
Needless to say we have darts that have been shot all over the house.  I keep finding them everywhere I turn.
For our Family Home Evening activity one night we set up target practice bulls-eyes and learned we are terrible shots but we felt fierce and had to take a picture of us with our mean faces on.
Don't we look mean?
(just for the record, when I was growing up we weren't allowed to have any sort of violent weapon.  They were bad.  We didn't even have water guns.  So, to have all of these "guns" in my house is weird but I don't make a big deal of them because I have many other things to worry about.  I'm getting good at picking my battles.  Ha!  literally.)
Kaden likes to be the man of the house sometimes...
not all the time but I like to take advantage of him when he's in the mood.
This day he changed all the burned out light bulbs in the bathrooms.  There were a plethora.
Have to take a picture to remember that.
Love my dude.
I LOVED having lunch with my super duper best long time friend Wendy.  We met when we were both 18 at the Hill Cumorah Pageant.  Then we coincidently went to Israel for the same semester and were roommates.  We bonded for life.  Between Israel and our missions we did SO many supergreatawesome things together that will have to be reminisced at another time.
I LOVE her!
Now we LOVE living only 15 minutes from each.  It gives me comfort knowing that she's that close but in the 18 months we've lived this close we have NEVER seen each other.  Shameful!
Unbeknownst to the other one we put each other on our "New Year's Resolution" list to call and get together.  We accomplished that goal before the month of January was even over.  Hopefully we can continue on the good thing we got goin' because it filled my soul to be with her.
Kaden had a "show what you know" assembly at school again.  Those 2nd graders are so animated and smart!
Ady: She comes in from school and spreads her books all over the floor in the front room and does her homework.  She probably could finish her homework super fast but because she is in the main living area where there's lots of commotion she doesn't focus so well and it takes FOREVER to finish her work.
Someday she might listen to me and switch things up to see if a different location might work better, but for now this is her spot.
I must capture this moment.
Teenagers are weird and frustrating and like to express their
free agency.
But they are also adorable and I want to kiss their faces off.
Kaden has been totally into puzzles lately.  He works on them a little bit at a time because they are 500-1000 piece puzzles.
Really for an 8 year old?
The past 2 weeks when the Olympics were on he worked on this Disney puzzle that was long and skinny.  It only fit on the table below our t.v.  Kaden didn't mind because he was SO into watching the Olympics that it gave him a front row seat to work on the puzzles and watch the Olympics at the same time.  He killed 2 birds with one stone that way.
The finished puzzle only to be destroyed 1 minute later.  All that work...
but tis the nature of puzzles.
Maybe that's why I don't care for them much...
but they are addicting.
I LOVE having fun things to look forward to.
I LOVE all the things that go on in Utah.
I LOVE looking forward to going to concerts or plays in Utah.
When I heard that Cherie Call and Peter Breinholt were doing a concert together at the Scera in Orem I HAD to go.  I called up my 2 stand-by dates to see if they wanted a "boys night out" with me and sure enough the 3 of us went.
It was a fantastic concert.
At the end of Cherie's half of the show she said that she was miserably sick and had to go home.
Sad.
Apparently it was all she could do to perform the part she did.  You would never have known because she was amazing.
Then Peter came out and joined her for a song which was fantastic and then he finished off the show.
He was Amazing!
I love this picture because they both are feeling the music.
I could listen to both of their music all day long.  It is my kind of stuff.  They are down-to Earth kinda folk and their music is marvelous.  Love it!
Had fun with my dates too.

The end of Miscellaneous moments for now.
