I think I mentioned before that after 3 months of much difficulty we sent our puppy, Milo to live with another family.
We still had our 2 hamsters
until, one day when Emmy went to clean the cage and the little guy didn't move, all curled up cozy in his house... DEAD.
Emmy was very distraught about it thinking it was because she hadn't cleaned the cage for 2 weeks or fed it for a few days.
Jeff went out and bought a little coffin and we had a funeral.
Not even a week later we had Marc and Marty over. We were standing around the table telling the story of Emmy's hamster when Kaden said, "I'm going to go check on my hamster." Two seconds later he ran back and yelled, "my hamster is dead too." We laughed thinking how funny Kaden was. When the kids came back and said, nope, he's really dead for reals, we couldn't believe it. From the looks of it his death wasn't as peaceful as Emmy's hamster.
Yikes!
Thank goodness Marc was there, who had dealt with many dead hamsters in his life. He helped us wrap up that little guy and dump him in the trash.
So, in the matter of a week we went from 3 pets back down to zero!
We enjoyed 3 pets for 3 months but secretly I was glad they were gone.
I already have 4 pets and my children's pets only became more responsibility and more jobs for all of us.
Tchau!
