Ouchie!

Well, we were able to be in our new home for 4 days before we had our first mishap.
Kaden broke his arm.
After our FHE with the Christensens, the kids went to the park to play,
weren't gone for more than 10 minutes when
we heard crying
and all the kids returning home.
Kaden was being carried in
obvious pain
and an obvious broken arm.
We didn't think to ice it
or give tylenol.
We just placed him in the car as Jeff S. and Jeff C. took him to the hospital.
(apparently Kaden was wrestling and got thrown across the lawn.  According to the other kids who were there with him they all heard the break.  Yikes!)
Poor honey boy.
After they took the x-rays the ER doctor wasn't quite sure of the break situation.  He wondered if Kaden would need surgery because it was definately broken and definately dislocated.
Jeff called me and said they were probably going to Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake.
But, then he called me a few minutes later and said that the top doctor happened to be at the Riverton hospital right then.
He wouldn't need surgery.
Just an awesome Dr. to set the arm. and he was there.
What a great TENDER MERCY.
They were able to manipulate his arm and set it.
Look at that cute sweet baby boy.
They made it home past midnight and then we had to go back 3 days later to get the big, red cast.
After a few days with the real cast he finally was feeling better.
The kids in his school class were so happy to have him back and thought his cast was so cool.
As Kaden finished his last month of school his teacher said that Kaden never once said that he couldn't do something but always figured out a way how to do what everyone else was doing.
He wrote with his left hand and had a great attitude about it.
The only thing that bothered him and made his cast a little miserable for the 8 weeks it was on was the terrible itching.
His arm got so hot that it would make him crazy.
But, he was great sport.

4 kids
3 broken arms.
We can be done with broken arms thank you.

Poor little guy! I would say you have had your share of broken arms as well.
It was so wonderful seeing you the other week. I can't stop thinking about you and wishing that we were some of those cool neighbors in your neighborhood. Love you!
