Hallelujah Halleluja Hallelujah Hallelujah Forever and ever and ever and ever!

We bought a house
finally!
Here is the story...
Way back the first week of September we started looking with our realtor, Brenda Huff (who is fantastic if you are needing a realtor in Utah).
We looked at "our" house on the first day.
It was finished up to the point of picking out flooring, cupboards, paint, fixtures etc. etc.  Since it was the first day and
since I believed I was in a hurry to buy a home and move in and
since I didn't have a feel for homes in Utah yet
I didn't hear the angels singing telling me it was our home.
I didn't want to wait for them to finish this home for us.
I didn't want a new home where we had to put in blinds and a yard and wait for it to be finished.
So, for the next 5 months we looked at every single house for sell in the whole entire Salt Lake Valley in nearly every single price range.  It was exhausting.  There are so many ugly homes in Utah.  There are so many homes that don't have music rooms.  There are so many homes that don't have decent backyards or party-sized kitchens.
We weren't picky.
We just knew what we wanted.
We even met with a builder to consider that option.  I liked it.  I liked the idea of building A LOT!  I wanted to design my ideal home.  We checked out property and found some we liked.  I was getting excited.
In the mean-time we kept thinking about this other home, you know, "the" home.   We drove by it several times.  We heard that it had sold and then we stopped thinking about it and stopped driving by it.
We took 2 weeks at Christmas off and began again in January.
We went to look at a home for sale in the same neighborhood as "the" home and come to find out it was that very home... for sale again.
But this time it was all finished.
We went inside and looked around and I heard the angels sing the Hallelujah chorus to me.  I felt it!
Jeff was in Washington signing the closing papers on our home there and he called me as I was listening to the angels.  Perfect timing.
I said, "here we are again and THIS IS THE ONE."
Kind of cheesy, but with all the times I have moved I have never felt that sure knowledge of the house we were to live in.
Jeff was delighted because he had liked it since the beginning.
"sign the papers!"  he said.
While he was on the phone, while we were standing in the kitchen
the train passed by.
Another concern is that the house is close to the train tracks.  I was worried it would be too loud.  But, here we were, the perfect time and the train passed by like Heavenly Father was saying, "see!  I told ya so!  The train isn't bad.  This is YOUR house."
So,
There you have it.
We closed on our Washington house and started contract on our Utah house in the same week.
That is no coincidence.
That is a miracle!
The moral of the story is...
The Lord's timing is everything.
Why didn't I feel it when we saw the house in September?  If I had felt it then I at least could have picked out what I wanted with colors and flooring etc.  (while we're on it, I hate the pergo dark floor that is in the main floor.  We will change that for sure, but we could have saved ourselves that extra moo la if we got it back in September.)
For some reason I needed to look at a bazillion other houses to KNOW this was the one.  But, now I know without a doubt.  It has everything... all the bedrooms on the 2nd floor with the laundry room up there too.  Yea!  It has a music room, front room and a beautiful kitchen and family room.  The basement will be a fun hang out place for the kids.  The basement isn't finished but will be as part of the final contract.  That's why we can't move in now.
Closing is March 29th.
Can't wait!
someday I'll build that perfect house that I have up in my head.
