We weren't big fans of the rain until we lived in Washington.
It grew on us.
After we lived for many months without it we were overjoyed when Utah gave us a huge rain storm.
The kids grabbed their bikes and went to tromp around in the puddles.
And it was still raining
hard!
We were at my parents house so we were joined by our friends across the street too.
Really, all the kids were giddy and wild like they were seeing a favorite friends after a long absence.
Then a glorious rainbow appeared to add to the beauty of the afternoon for us.
Bowling was another summer favorite activity
especially when it only cost a dollar.
We became quite the serious bowlers after going so many times.
We loved hosting family BBQ's and dinners at our new house.
Pioneer Day was a yummy day with the family over.
We fed the ducks many times with all of our left over stale hot dog buns.
Having a visit from the Shropshires was fun. These kids used to toddle around together as babies. Then, when we lived in Southern California we would spend days at Disneyland together every time they came to use their passports... which was a lot! Maryn and Ady would even stay with them at the Disneyland Hotel. Lots of fun memories with these girlies.
These 2 boys spent their spare time together being Spiderman.
I love love love the summer!!
We try to relax on our schedules, sleep in and fill our days with fun.
