Father's Day

Father's day around here was a day of much pampering and partying. We have much to celebrate with the great DAD that lives here with us. The kids loved taking care of him in our family SPA. (don't you love the pink bunny eye covers?)

The Slichta Dad is great because...

-he is good about giving personal time to each child.

-the kids fight over who gets their personal time because they love to be with him.

-he is FUN!

-he is silly.

-his laugh makes us all laugh.

-he works hard to take care of us.

-he supports us in what we feel is important even though it might not be so important to him.

-he takes small moments to teach.

-we love it when he comes home from work.

-even though he doesn't like to work from home we love it when he does because we know he's just behind the closed doors.

-he loves to read and play games.

-he is passionate and enthusiastic.

We are blessed to have him as the Father of our home.
Now a moment to honor my own dad.
If I had to sum him up he would be a male version of Mary Poppins... practically perfect in every way. Seriously, he is the most Christlike, giving person ever. He is an example to me in so many ways. He is always sending the family wonderful General Conference talks or spiritual quotes. I think all he does in his spare time is read the scriptures and share his great spirit with his family. He loves us so much and doesn't let an opportunity go by to share how he feels about us. I sure love him and am blessed for having him in my life.
Here he is with his newest granddaughter, Kenley Shuman.

Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful men in our life!!!
