Best Friends and Preschool

Kaden and his best buddy, JP are inseparable... It isn't a good day unless they spend at least 12 hours a day together. Lately I have had my camera on hand to catch some of the moments that need capturing...
Like this...
I could get put in jail for posting this picture but it just happened today as we were waiting for JP's mom to get home... they had to "go" so bad and next thing I know they were "shooting it over the side." A few weeks ago JP and his dad invited Kaden and his dad to go to a Seattle Mariner's game together. They got hot dogs and were given a home run ball. They had a blast. (Unfortunately this picture is as big as I can get it.)
This week was the boys last day at their preschool, Redgate Farm. Teacher Suzie let them play in the swamp...
They caught water bugs and pollywog's...
had a picnic...
they went back in the swamp and realized their clothes were nothing but cumbersome as they got wet and muddy... only at Redgate Farm can kids play in their undies and everyone is happy.
then to sit around a fire and roast marshmallows in your undies...
everyone is SO happy!

Enjoying a morning of FUN!
Another day of FUN!
They went to a children's museum together and ended up painting each other. (Thanks Stella)
Since we're on the subject, I never got a picture of the boys leaving Redgate Farm, but most days they left covered in mud from head to toe. Their pants could stand up by themselves because of the thick mud that caked them. Teacher Suzie allowed them to dig in the garden/dirt, jump in the puddles or play in the rain; touch, feel, or eat just about everything. Her philosophy is " play is the highest form of research." I want to be more of a mom like that... I always got the hives when I saw Kaden jumping in the mud splashing all the other kids or soaking himself. But, really, what's wrong with it? As long as everyone is happy and showing respect to one another, right?
Without planning Kaden and JP both got guitars for Christmas. Occasionally they have jam sessions together.
Their favorite things to do together are ride scooters and bikes, eat chicken nuggets, play Wii, hug, and dress up in super hero costumes. They took a sports sampler class together and now they are having private swimming lessons together. They are nothing but silliness when they get together, but we're so grateful they have each other.
