Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

March 7th was Maryn's birthday! She is scrumptious! She is also 13th scary years old! Holy frightfulness!
When I think of Maryn as a baby I think of all the times I was stopped in a grocery store by people telling me how cute my baby was. I think of all the friendly waves and "hellos" she offered to the whole wide world. I think of how fast she wanted to sit up, crawl, walk, ride a bike, tie a shoe. She was always in a hurry to move on to the next stage; to grow up too fast. We thought it was adorable. Now it makes me cry. If I knew then what I know now I would have held on to her feet to stop her crawls. I would have pushed her over whenever she wanted to walk. I would have never bought her shoes with laces. She is still the girl who wants to be grown up, but I'm trying to slow the process.

There is still a childlike nature about Maryn. She loves to be silly. She likes to organize crazy games. Although she likes to BE big she doesn't try to act too mature. There is always a buzz of action whenever she's around. In fact her Young Women leaders agree that Maryn is the electricity in her Beehives class. She's always whoopin' it up for a party and a game and a "please can we..." and a "how about we go..." and a hey nonny-nonny dance and cheer all over the house all day and night long. She never wants to go to bed and always has something so important to do that is way more important that what I have asked her to do. Except when the times that Maryn is so helpful. One of the reasons why she was sent as my oldest daughter was because Heavenly Father knew I couldn't be a homemaker without an assistant. She's my best helper! Maryn could be any mother's favorite helper. She loves to hold all the babies at church and asks all the mom's every Sunday when she can babysit. When Maryn puts her mind to something she is like a tornado in full force. She can't be stopped. I pray she always has her mind set on righteous things. We love Maryn and are so thankful that she came to our home!

Happy Birthday Maryn!! She got a cute set of pink polka dotted luggage along with a registration to go to "Retreat for Girls" in Logan, Utah this summer.

Crepe's were on the order for her "cake."
These pictures make me miss her long hair. It was only a few days after this that she got her hair cute off short! Boo Hoo!
Maryn had a little party with a few friends. Subway sandwiches and a video scavenger on bikes. Fun!
We love our baby girl!
