Gobble Gobble Day!

Thanksgiving gets me all excited because it's the beginning of the holidays. It's the best of all of my favorite things... food, family, games and laying around doing nothing. After watching the Thanksgiving Day parade I had that feeling that mother's sometimes get that tells me if the kids don't have a few ideas of what to do they are just going to spend the day bugging each other. So, we made us a list. We started everything off with a family walk in the drizzle... I was so excited because I love a good family walk and we hardly go on them anymore but then one bad thing after another started happening... first of which, the wagon that Kaden was riding in broke... the handle and front wheels broke off from the rest of the wagon. Funny, but totally ruined the walk... and shortened it.
We made our Turkey cookies.
The girls did a hair treatment. What better day to put on a colorful shower cap than then you're working in the kitchen. Appropriate but so nerdy.
Maryn looking like a nerd while she fixes up her favorite Cranberry "Pink" Salad.

The Gehrett family is one of our favorites around these parts. We decided to feast together. Kristin set up a snazzy table.
I loved how they assigned the place settings... a pretty gold painted letter of your name. Fancy! The food was scrumptious. We stayed all day and played games. Had a perfect day!
