Emmylicious

I can't believe that Emmy's birthday has come and gone. She is 7! WOAH! She is definately the carbonation in our family... the lemon zest... the snare drum in the band... She has so much pizzaz and umph and crescendo. She enunciates, talks with her eyes and exudes energy when she is sitting still. She is dramatic and fun. Emmy never pouts. She sleeps when she's tired and she eats when she's hungry. She declares that everyone is her best friend. She's adorable and loveable. She wants to be big but also loves to be little. She enjoys life to it's fullest. She is the happiest harp practicer and performer. She reads from sun-up til sundown.... leaving books everywhere... really, e-v-e-r-y -w-h-e-r-e. She is super smart at school and does her week-long homework in 1 day. She cracks everyone with her made-up stories. Beware: you never know if Emmy is telling the truth or telling a creative story. She is a tricky girl that way. She is practically perfect in every way.

Emmy's birthday took forever to get here, but when it did it was a world-wide celebration. Did you get the memo?

We had waffles for breakfast, hot school lunch for lunch and spaghetti for dinner. Crepes for dessert.
Eventhough this isn't the greatest shot, Emmy has the best hair. It is thick and bouncy and stays fixed until she gets it wet. It's darker than anybody elses in the family which makes the blue in her eyes stand out more. She is CUTE!
The New York Slichta group sent Emmy the CUTEST clothes around! She is all set in her new wardrobe to win the best dressed 1st grader. Emmy got the full collection of Junie B. Jones books. She jumped and hollered over that saying that she didn't need anything for Christmas because she got all that she wanted for her birthday. A parent's dream. Who wants a birthday cake when you can have crepes?
On Saturday Emmy had a friend party. She is our only child who has never had a friend party. She's never demanded one so I never brought it up. These are only a few of her best friends... Annalise, Ava, Audrey, and Sophia. We had fun making gingerbread houses and playing girlie games.

Happy Birthday Emmy! We love you!
