I loved working in Emmy's classroom and helping them make gingerbread houses. (I think I've said this before but doesn't her teacher look like one of the fairies on Sleeping Beauty? You know, Flora, Fauna and Merriweather?).
Maryn had a combined Young Men/Young Women's caroling-white-elephant-gift-exchange activity. I don't even know what Maryn took to the party, but she came home with a goldfish. Isn't that the greatest white elephant gift? It cracked me up so much until I thought, "where are we going to keep this fish? and what are we going to feed it?" As I was pouring the fish into my favorite Pampered Chef pitcher I kindly explained to Maryn that fish die easily. Please don't expect the fish to be alive when you wake up in the morning. It was alive in the morning. We had to borrow fish food from our neighbor.
When Jeff took the kids Christmas shopping a week later he came home with a tank, rocks, food, a filter system, plants and another stinkin' fish! So, now I'd like to introduce you to our first pets ever, Oscar and Zeemo. Whatever.
Adyson decided one Saturday to play Santa. She dressed up and had each of the kids sit on her lap while she presented them with gifts from her big, red bag. It made the whole house jolly.
While waiting at the church for our tithing settlement we posed for some pictures. This is just one of thousands...we waited for forever.
The only reason I am posting this picture of myself is for you to take note of my eyelashes. My whole life I have suffered with Asian eyelashes... short and straight. I would dare to say that I have eyelash envy. I always check out everyones eyelashes wishing they were mine. When I heard about conditioning your eyelashes I seized the moment and tried it myself. Can you see that I have eyelashes? Long and lushes and I worked hard for them.
