I love garden tomatoes and was determined this year to have a crop of them. I bought seeds and big huge planters and soil. Those little tomato plants got to be about 4 inches tall and I was getting excited for my tomatoes. To my horror, some wicked children thought they were weeds and pulled them out. To my surprise somehow a seed fought its way through the soil and grew... the only problem was it was the beginning of September and starting to be chilly. I saw a tomato plant at the store with green tomatoes already on it. I was willing to pay any amount to give those guys a shot. After 3 months of prayer and loving my now 2 tomato plants all I was able to cultivate were these terribly green tomatoes. The frost has come to stay and there is no hope. I am MAD!!! There's always next year I suppose.
Ady's "act of kindness" has been to make breakfast every morning. She's been getting quite good at it. Thanks to Aunt Marianne we have some fun recipes to try. Try these out sometime... Cut a heart out of a piece of bread. Put it in a pan and crack an egg into it. Turn to cook on both sides. The kids loved these just because they were so cute! Ady felt so domestic.

Ady is just like her Grandpa and her mom... she loves the neck of a turkey. Mmmmmmm. It is so flavorful. I just didn't appreciate having to share the neck but I guess I better get used to it.
